Mr. Uhlmann is a native of Washington, DC. Uhlmann graduated from Yale University and went on to receive a doctorate in government from Claremont Graduate School. He received his law degree from the University of Virginia Law School. Uhlmann served as Assistant Attorney General for Legislative Affairs in the Justice Department during the Ford Administration. He returned to government service as the Special Assistant to President Reagan working on legal policy issues within the Office of Policy Development. He served in the first administration.
